As Canada turns 150 years old July 1st, many are out celebrating, going to parades and parties, and enjoying time with friends and family. Some are home spending quality time with people that matter and maybe watching the festivities on TV. I hope that everyone is doing what they want and are basking in the reality of what a great country Canada is. Being Canadian I understand that no country is perfect. However, I’d like to remind those with that belief about the goodness and aim towards perfection that is happening. When I meet, and hear from our Autism 30 guests, followers, and fans I’m reminded of those who are working, volunteering, and funding efforts to improve our autism community. With the glowing hearts both strong and free we can rise as a community and continue to make strides towards a perfect society for all. I feel very grateful and am humbled by all those who’ve I’ve had the pleasure of meeting doing this podcast. To all in our community and those who are not, may you have a joyous, hopeful and wonderful Canada Day.
An amazing event took place on June 17th in Delta. The annual Challenger Baseball Jamboree too place. Teams from all over British Columbia travels to the baseball fields to participate in what was an amazing day of sport, friendship, inclusiveness, and fun. Rick Hansen was a guest speaker and there was loads of entertainment to be enjoyed. Everyone left with smiles on their faces and players with medals around their necks. Thank you to all the wonderful coaches and especially Coach Bonn for a year and job well done!
